Just Released: OIG Summary of Investigations Volume I - Fiscal Year 2027
The BART Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has released its latest Summary of Investigations, covering eight matters involving alleged misconduct, public resources, safety, contractor performance, and workplace conduct.
The report includes reviews involving:
- Conflicts of interest and misuse of public funds
- Consultant billing and workers’ compensation fraud
- BART’s response to a patron on the trackway
- Security alarm monitoring and contractor oversight
- Workplace harassment, threats, and retaliation
- Potential time theft or loafing
While several allegations were not supported, other matters were referred to the appropriate parties or identified broader concerns requiring additional review.
