New OIG Report: Summary of Investigations Volume II - Fiscal Year 2027
The BART Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has released Summary of Investigations Volume II – 2027, covering 11 investigations into alleged misconduct.
The report addresses allegations involving vendor and consultant billing, vehicle use, sick leave, contract selection, advertising, time theft, and potential conflicts of interest.
In one investigation, an emergency medical services vendor reimbursed BART $859 for invoice errors. Other cases were not substantiated, addressed by or referred to another BART function, or closed because available evidence did not support further investigation. These investigations did not warrant recommendations.
Independent review helps ensure that concerns receive an objective assessment based on the evidence.
We encourage you to read the report or watch the summary video for the findings and outcomes of each case.
